I had a dream...

So i have crazy dreams about the Yankees... alot... especially durring the offseason when my mind needs baseball. Most of the time they aren't that farfetched, most of the time they are realistic and believable... last night, i had a very interesting dream... regarding... Kei Igawa...

It started out as the Yankees reportedly inviting Kei Igawa to spring training... Kei took this as his chance to shine... he worked on a few things in the offseason... curve ball... changeup... whatever shit pitches he throws....

So apparently my dream was all about Kei Igawa succeeding... i don't know if i can handle a Kei Igawa comeback.

Anyway... spring training roles around... and the Yankees play their first game against the Blue Jays.... at... the new Yankee Stadium? O.k... my dream land is starting to take over now...

Kei Igawa starts this game and there is a lot of media hype surrounding it, because Kei claimed he will prove to be the ace of the Yankees staff (what was i smoking last night?).

This is when my dream threw me for a loop... Roy Halladay... Yankee killa... came in to lead off for the blue jays... struck out on three pitches... big suprise... (it didn't hit me that Roy Halladay was leading off until i actually woke up...)

Next batter... Matt Stairs... (apparently my dream land still has Matt Stairs on the Blue Jays)... he strikes out on 3 pitches.... what the?... Kei Igawa is goood? nooo, can't be!

David Wright batted 3rd for the Blue Jays? (again, it didn't hit me as wierd until i woke up)... Kei Igawa picked an oppurtune time to throw his first fastball of the game... and....

David Wright hits it for a homerun.... guess my dream wasn't so farfetched afterall...

I don't think the dream continued after that, my mind gave up on Kei Igawa.

Kei Igawa... a true Yankee

Born July 13 1979, Igawa sought to strive as a proffesional ball player, and he did... in Japan. Drafted in 1998 by the Hanshin Tigers, whom he played for until 2006 and had a very succesfull career. Somehow he led his league in strikeouts 3 of those years, and was elected to Japan's All-Star team. Though Igawa's success in Japan was great, his true purpose in life had yet to come.

The Yankees were watching something that Kei Igawa did correctly in Japan... apparently, and signed him to a Major league contract just before the 2007 season. Many believe that this was just a signing to possibly counter the Red Sox signing of Daisuke Matsuzaka, of course that wasn't true... of course...

Kei Igawa performed up to expectations in 2007...durring spring training... but when the season came around, we saw a new side of the K-man.

What Yankee fans don't know, is if Igawa hadn't been a Yankee on April 7 2007, would Alex Rodriguez be a Yankee today. I say this because durring that game, Alex Rodriguez hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th. According to Alex Rodriguez, that homerun really got him settled into New York, and took alot of pressure off of him to succeed in 07.

Igawa gave up 7 runs in 5 innings durring that game, who knows... i'm not one to play God, but... had the Yankees not signed Igawa, A-Rod would not have hit the grand slam, and maybe would not have won the 07 MVP and possibly could have decided not to resign with the Yankees after opting out of his contract.

Now Yankee fans, i know you don't like Kei Igawa, with good reason; however, think of him in a different light now. Kei Igawa's total suck gave us 10 more years of Alex Rodriguez, arguably the greatest player of all time.

So thank you Kei Igawa, a true Yankee! (I know... I just blew your mind)

No one likes you Kei Igawa...

... and if i see one Yankee fan sporting this Igawa jersey, i will shove you into the ground(they really make those?)...

So Brian Cashman was recently asked if anyone's had any interest in the funny looking lefty... his answer: "No".

Now, here is a list of what you need to do durring the offseason Mr. K:

1. Actually work out and be prepared for spring training.

2. Cut your hair, it's putrid (hopefully i used it correctly, in honor of George King!)

3. Stop whining about how unhappy you are to be with the Yankees.

4. Stop wearing sunglasses... your numbers are kind of better without them, and you look absolutely rediculous.

5. grow a giambi mustache... if you can (if you can't i have one of those fake mustaches they gave out at Giambi support the stache day).

Seriously though... if the Giambi mustache doesnt work, nothing will...
